Paul and
Emily Stokes are a married couple of 5 years.
They both have jobs in Champaign and have a
young toddler, Tiffany. The family
plans to move back to Paul's hometown of
Baltimore, Maryland when Tiffany is older so
that she can attend the same prestigious
private grade-school that Paul attended.
Paul had a bad
experience selling a house through a Realtor
once before as his previous house sat on the
market longer than he wished for. Not
only was there a buyers' market at that
time, but his choice of Realtor was not the
best.
Paul came to
Schwaps for an alternative solution.
Schwaps was able to structure a
purchase-option for Paul's family house.
What this meant was that Paul would choose a
future sale date and Schwaps would close at
that time. So, Paul picked a date
three years away that was a convenient date
to close the sale of his family's house.
In three years his daughter Tiffany would be
ready for school and with the pre-arranged
closing date, the family would have the
piece of mind that they wouldn't be subject
to any future swings of the Real Estate
market. Thus, the worst case scenario
of holding two mortgages at once would not
occur.
